Pengertian Passive Voice

Passive voice adalah kalimat yang subjeknya dikenai suatu pekerjaan atau tindakan dari kata kerjanya, artinya bukan subjek tersebut yang melakukan suatu aksi.

Rumus Kalimat Pasif Bahasa Inggris (Passive Voice) dalam 16 Tenses

Kalimat pasif memiliki banyak bentuk dan harus disesuaikan dengan rumus dari kalimat aktif sebelumnya.

Berikut ini adalah rumus passive voice dalam bentuk 16 tenses yang bisa kamu jadikan sebagai acuan:

Dari seluruh rumus kalimat pasif di atas, mungkin akan muncul pertanyaan di benakmu seperti ini, “Apakah passive voice harus menggunakan ‘by’?” Jawabannya adalah tidak wajib. Jadi, komponen ‘by + object’ dalam rumus hanya pelengkap ya.

Selain itu, perlu diketahui bahwa ada 6 tenses yang kurang lazim digunakan dalam bentuk kalimat pasif, yaitu present continuous tense, present perfect continuous tense, past continuous tense, past perfect continuous tense, future continuous tense, dan future perfect continuous tense.
